What is pelvic health therapy?

Pelvic health therapy can help train pelvic floor muscles using interactive treatment methods. It can help with incontinence, difficulty with bladder or bowel movements, painful sex, constipation, pelvic pain, endometriosis, vaginismus, menopause symptoms and pregnancy and postpartum wellness.

What are the benefits?

After an evaluation, your physical therapist will design an individualized treatment plan to meet your needs and goals. Treatment may include education to teach how to identify muscles and how to use them correctly and exercises to stretch and strengthen affected muscles. Throughout treatment, patients can expect improved blood flow and tissue function in the pelvic areas, increased muscle flexibility and function and a lower risk of pelvic injury or pain.
